I need a patch for the Alice: Madness Returns umbrella bug?

I need to find a patch or code of some sort to make the umbrella work in Alice: Madness Returns the PC game. I've tried everything I can think of. I have even requested to be the Co owner of spicy horse's friend on Facebook because I heard he will talk to you directly about any problems you have, but he hasn't responded yet. I need to find a patch soon so if anyone is 100% sure that they know a way to fix it, please tell me
